How do I select breakout sessions if I registered before the agenda was available?
Check your email for an email from email@example.com with the subject line “Registration Confirmation for MEP Force Virtual Event”. Scroll down to your registration details and click “Manage Registration Details”. Then, click “Manage Sessions” and select your sessions.
What’s the difference between virtual MEP Force and the live event?
Instead of spending time and money on travel, you can reap the benefits of attending MEP Force from the comfort of your own desk, even in sweatpants if you’d like. MEP Force will be hosted virtually on Monday, August 31 through Wednesday, September 2 from 12:00 pm – 4:30 pm ET. That way, you’ll have the chance to work for half of the day and tune into sessions the other half of the day.
There will be some virtual networking options throughout the online conference as well. Can’t wait until MEP Force? We also invite you to attend MEP Masterminds every Thursday in May and June to discuss industry trends while networking with other industry leaders.
I registered before this change. Do I get my money back?
The list price for MEP Force Virtual Basic will be $149. There are a couple of options for people who have already registered:
- Since you no longer have to worry about travel costs, you can use the excess amount from your ticket price towards a ticket for your coworker. Email firstname.lastname@example.org a list of the names and email addresses of coworkers you’d like to add.
- You can submit this form to request a partial or full refund.
I already booked hotel and travel and had to pay upfront. How can I get my money back?
All hotel, air fare and rental car cancellations must be handled directly with the vendor from which you booked. We are unable to make cancellation requests on your behalf.
If you booked a hotel room with the Marriott San Antonio Rivercenter through our group rate, you will be able to cancel with the Marriott for a full refund up to 72 hours prior to your check-in date. If you cancel within 72 hours of your check-in date, you will be charged one night’s stay.

Do I still get a SWAG bag?
Of course! SWAG is part of the fun of our conference. Those who register before August 10 are guaranteed a SWAG bag, which will ship a week before the conference. Anyone who registers after August 10 is not guaranteed a SWAG bag. If there are enough supplies, those who register after August 10 will receive their swag bag after the conference.
Can I invite guests?
Yes, please invite guests, but understand that they will have to register and pay for the event in order to access the content.
Do I have to attend all three days?
You will have access to all content following the event, so if you have to miss a day or two, you can catch up in your own time. This also means that if there are multiple sessions at the same time that you want to attend, you can watch one live and the others on demand later.
Will the sessions be recorded and available for later viewing?
Yes. All sessions will be recorded and can be accessed at any time from the event console.
Will the dates be the same?
Yes. MEP Force will be held Monday, August 31 through Wednesday, September 2 online only from 12:00 pm – 4:30 pm ET.
Where can I find the new agenda?
How can I find my schedule?
From your registration confirmation email, you can click “Manage Registration Details” and then “Manage Sessions” to select your sessions. Additionally, on the Agenda page you can click “Registered” (located next to “My Interests”). If you aren’t logged in, you will need to enter and confirm your email address. Once confirmed, you will be able to view your registered sessions. To add sessions, click the seat icon next to a session to make it appear orange. If there are multiple sessions you want to attend at the same time, click the star to add them to “My Interests”. You can only attend one live session per hour, but you will have access to ALL sessions on demand and can go back and watch them any time!
What happens instead of block parties and other networking events?
Join us Tuesday, September 1 from 4:30 pm – 6:30 pm ET for a Virtual House Party. We’ll kickoff the session with a live podcast recap session featuring the host of the award winning Bridging the Gap podcast, Todd Weyandt. Todd will be joined by top industry leaders including Nathan Wood, Rob McKinney, Travis Voss, and James Simpson. We’ll offer some mixology and barbecue tips. After we’ve all made our own drinks, we’ll split up for some speed networking and breakout discussions.
Why should I still sponsor?
By making MEP Force a virtual event, we have the opportunity to reach more attendees than would have been possible at a live event where travel was required. We understand there are differences in a virtual event from a sponsorship standpoint and have updated our sponsorship packages to reflect that. With a virtual event, you will have more data and visibility over who actually attends your sessions and visits your virtual booth.
What does a virtual sponsorship look like?
As a virtual sponsor, you’ll receive breakout session presentation(s), a guest blog article, a Bridging the Gap podcast commercial, guest webinar, a sponsored email, and more.
As a sponsor, how will my ROI be affected?
Although we cannot give an absolute answer on how your ROI may be affected, we strongly believe that if you take advantage of all of the opportunities we are providing since making the switch to a virtual event, we are confident you will see a great return on investment.
As a sponsor, will I receive a partial refund?
No, we are not offering partial refunds to sponsors. We are offering more opportunities to combat the challenges sponsors may face with a virtual event, and we are confident that your company will be pleased with the results.
I was going to demonstrate something technical, can I still do that?
Absolutely. You will be able to share your screen on the virtual platform to demo your product or workflow.
What if I have to change my talk because we won’t be in a room together?
We are happy to help talk through those changes and reformat your presentation so it will make sense online.
What if my internet is bad?
There will be prep meetings leading up to the presentations so we can work through any technical issues in advance. If you know your internet is bad and will be a problem, we’re happy to work with you on a solution. Please let us know as soon as possible if you foresee any problems.
Will people still care about a virtual keynote?
Of course. Humans are curious beings with a fear of missing out. They are going to want to know what you have to say. Plus, we will make sure to hype up your presentations just like we would at a live event.
How can I demo and talk at the same time?
In the virtual event environment, attendees will see you on your webcam in one window and the screen that you are sharing in another window. Everything will be very similar to giving a live presentation with a demo. We’ll also have people on the backend to help you so you can focus on your presentation.
Is there an option to pre-record my session?
Yes. Let us know if you would prefer to pre-record your session, and we will work it out. We will, however, ask you to join the live session in order to answer any questions at the end.
